Well, it appears that no matter what Baby Azer wants, he is coming to this world by August 27th. The sonogram that we had this week confirmed that he is a larger baby at almost 8lbs (he is probably the biggest Azer baby ever but he's not got anything on me, I was 9lbs, 12oz.) and the doctor suggested planning an induction date in case he does not come on time. We picked August 27th to give family time to travel up here and get a weekend (okay, if I am being honest, it was also influenced by the fact that I am not a fan of the doctor on call on the 28th). I keep trying to convince him that he can come earlier but he just loves it in there being all curled up and poking out and starting to hurt his mama with his sharp limbs. We are super excited to have the endpoint decided and just praying that all goes well. Adrian has to travel to NYC several times over the next week, so let's pray that he does not come during that period--what a disaster. Between my mom taking her exams and Adrian in NYC, I just pray he waits until that is over but if you see me calling you repeatedly in the next week, you will know something is up....
I cannot believe that it has been almost 10 months of pregnancy. It really does go by quickly. We had some friends (Shaun, Maryellen and Mason) over last night who just moved back to DC and their son is 5 months right now. It's going to be so fun to watch all of these little boys grow up together just like their daddies. Now, someone needs to start having girls so we know who our little men are hitting on at playdates. (It really does seem strange that everyone is having a boy, except for a few people we know!)
Big congrats to Wags on her son and Amy Carter Cox on her son! (Playdates will have to be long-term plans.)
